International Cooperation and Services Development Unit of Lampung University Welcomes Representatives from NSTU NETI

(Unila): Lampung University (Unila) received a visit from representatives of Novorsibirsk State Technical University (NSTU NETI) of Russia, Fedor Leonov, Ph.D., on Monday morning, January 17, 2022. The visit was welcomed directly by the Head of the Technical Implementation Unit for International Cooperation and Services Development (UPT PKLI), Dr. Ayi Ahadiat, S.E., M.B.A., along with his team.
Dr. Ayi stated that this was Fedor’s second visit to Unila after he visited in December last year. In addition to introducing NSTU NETI, Fedor’s visit aims to build and develop cooperation in many areas, especially irradiation technology, and to strengthen the relationship between Russia and Indonesia.
The meeting also discussed the substance of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will be signed by both parties on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. The discussion was also attended by the Head of Unila’s Research and Community Service Institute, Dr. Lusmeilia Afriani, D.E.A., and Prof. Dr. John Hendri, M.S.
According to Fedor Leonov, Unila is the most appropriate partner for collaboration. He has been convinced of this since his first visit to Unila and following the international webinar held by both universities on December 28, 2021.
He hopes that the meeting can discuss the substance of the MoU in more detail with UPT PKLI and lecturers at Unila.
“The Memorandum of Understanding is the first step that shows the direction of this cooperation. This MoU will be a document that lists the principles of cooperation, plans according to schedules, and concrete steps,” he explained.
The agenda for the visit of NSTU NETI representatives will last for five days, starting from the signing of the MoU, collaborative research workshops and scholarships for lecturers and students, as well as workshops with the Lampung Provincial Government, Kadin, and Apindo Lampung.
