UPT PKLI Held a monitoring and study evaluation of unila international students study result

Office of Cooperation Development and International Service (UPT PKLI) Universitas Lampung held a Monev (monitoring and evaluation) of international students study result, Monday 22nd of August 2023.

This event was held in the meeting room, 4^th floor of Unila’s rectorate building, and was attended by the vice rector of planning, cooperation, and ICT, the director of UPT PKLI, head of study program from faculty and a number of academic advicors of international students , and international students themselves.

Dr. Ayi Ahadiat, S.E., M.B.A. said that monitoring and evaluating international students serves several important purposes for educational institutions, governments, and the students themselves. These activities are essential for ensuring the success and well-being of international students during their academic journeys in University of Lampung.  The international students will also be the ambassadors of Unila whatever they will be in the future.

Prof. Irza Sukmana, S.T., M., PhD, the director of UPT PKLI also said that Unila will provide a foster family for the international students. This new program refers to individuals or families who provide a supportive and nurturing environment for international students who are studying in Unila. These individuals take on a role similar to foster parents, offering assistance, guidance, and a sense of belonging to students who are far from their own families and home countries. The objectif itself is for cultural exchange, practical assistance, social intergation, emergency support, and academic support.

In summary, each international students will be presenting their study every semester, to share their experiences and difficulties, and their future plan. Monitoring and evaluation of international students are vital for ensuring their academic success, emotional well-being, and overall integration into the host community. These activities contribute for both the students’ positive educational experience and the growth and improvement of educational institutions’ international programs.
