OFFERING INBOUND ACTIVITIES, UNILA PARTICIPATES IN THE UTM MOBILITY CARNIVAL 2024 IN MALAYSIA

Lampung University offers inbound activities for foreign and local students in Malaysia. This offer was conveyed by the Head of Unila’s International Cooperation and Service Development UPT (PKLI), Prof. Irza Sukmana, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., while representing Unila at The UTM Mobility Carnival 2024 in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
UTM Mobility Carnival 2024 is an activity organized by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and takes place on 27-30 May 2024. This activity is attended by more than 39 well-known universities from various countries including Thailand, China, Vietnam, India, Russia, Iraq, Japan, South Korea, Philippines, etc.
In general, the 2024 UTM Mobility Carnival aims to open up opportunities for foreign students from various countries and UTM students in particular to participate in various mobility activities offered by various universities that take part in these activities. Participants in the event offer new opportunities for students, enhance the educational experience, and foster long-term collaboration between universities around the world.
On this occasion, Unila specifically offered mobility activities through the Unila 2024 Summer Course program presented by the Head of Unila’s UPT PKLI. The focus of Unila’s 2024 Summer Course consists of two themes, namely Disaster Mitigation and Local Wisdom and Coastal Life or life and health and development of coastal areas.
“These two summer course themes are not only offered to foreign and local students in Malaysia but also to universities participating in the UTM Mobility Carnival 2024 activities.” said Prof. Irza.
The results of the initial assessment showed that around ten universities stated that they were willing to send their students to take part in the 2024 Unila Summer Course program. These universities are Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Brunei, Academy of Silesia Poland, University of Tsukuba Japan, University of San Agustin Philippines, Shibaura Institute of Technology Japan, Universiti Teknologi Petrnonas Malaysia, Institute of Science and Technology Sathyabama India, and Chulalongkorn University
Thailand.
