Participating in INDONESIAN LANGUAGE SPEECH Competition 2017

Ms. Vu Ngoc Thuy Trinh, known as Anggun as her Indonesian name, participated in Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian Language) Speech Competition 2017 held by Asosiasi Pengajar dan Pegiat Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing (APPBIPA) West Java Province, Indonesia. The competition which is called “ORASI” take the theme “Indonesia as I see it” held in Bandung from March 7 to 9, 2017.

There were six contestans who came to final in this competition:
1. Yuyin Hua from Tiongkok (Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang),
2. Le Phuong Vin from Vietnam (Universitas Negeri Yogayakarta),
3. Vu Ngoc Thuy Trinh from Vietnam (Universitas Lampung),
4. Nguyen Thi Phuong Anh from Vietnam (University of Muhammadiyah Malang),
5. Yamai Hiroko from Jepang (Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia), and
6. Mahfujur Rahman from Bangladesh (UIN Syarif Hidayatullah).

The participants had to speak in Bahasa in front of the jury. The  committee decided one of finalist  from Unila namely Vu Ngoc Thuy Thrinh to win the competition and get the Third position. Anggun is one of Darmasiswa students at University of Lampung. In the academic year 2016/2017, there are five DARMASISWA participants in Unila from four countries such as Slovakia, Vietnam, Poland, and Madagaskar. Since September 2016 they have been learning many things especially about bahasa, art and culture of Indonesia
