Unila 2019 Summer Program in Pesawaran

(Unila): The Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) for International Cooperation and Service Development (PKLI) of the University of Lampung (Unila) this year has again held a ‘Summer Course’ in Pesawaran Regency.
The activity with the theme “Lampung Coastal Life 2019” was participated by four foreign students and three students who were members of the student exchange program between the waterways (Permata).
They are Abed Abdullah Saleh Rageh from Yemen, Yahia Khalil Ibrahim Taha and Mohamed Zyad Zayd Alshurafa from Palestine, and Murayama Kento from Japan, while Permata students namely Meutia, Putri Martini and Wawan.
Students who joined the 2019 Summer Course were accompanied by PKLI representative staff namely Dara Helmasena, Nidia Putri, Arif Susanto, and Gigih Yora Pratama.
The series of activities that take place over two days from Saturday to Sunday (12-13 / 10/2019) starts from the meeting point at Pier 4 Ketapang, trips to the Dive Center, planting mangroves, checking in at the Dive Center, ishoma, greetings and education from Unila.
While on the second day, Sunday (10/13/2019), starting with breakfast, a trip to the coral transplantation spot, coral transplantation and snorkeling, a trip to the Dive Center, ishoma, check out from the Dive Center, travel to Pier 4 Ketapang.
The students in the two days at the Dive Center were recognized by how to plant mangroves or mangroves and transplanting coral reefs. The planting activity is part of the 2019 Summer Course program. This activity involved representatives of the Center for Research and Development LP2M Unila Endang Linirin Widiastuti, Ph.D., and Novriadi, M.Sc.
The Summer Course is expected to foster a culture of scientific cross-disciplinary cooperation in a multicultural atmosphere to be known to the world community, including increasing the number of international students who continue their studies and obtain degrees at Lampung University.
