UPT PKLI and Foreign Students of Unila Participate in Blangikhan Tradition to Welcome Ramadan

Bandar Lampung – UPT PKLI University of Lampung, together with foreign students, participated in enlivening the Blangikhan or traditional customs of Lampung people to welcome the holy month of Ramadan. The Blangikhan event was held by the Government of Lampung Province together with DPP Lampung Sai in Road to K-FEST 2023 at Batu Putu Bumi Kedaton Resort, Bandar Lampung, on Thursday (9/3/2023).
The Blangikhan event was attended by the Chairman of DPP Lampung Sai, Sjachroedin ZP, General TNI (HOR) (Ret.) Dr. (H.C.) Agum Gumelar and his wife, the ranks of Forkopimda of Lampung Province and its representatives, the Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Department, the Chairman and members of Lampung SAI, Alumni of the Police Academy class of 1970, the Lampung Art and Culture Enthusiast Community from among students and university students.
In this event, Unila’s foreign students participated directly in the Blangikhan ceremony by undergoing the Blangikhan traditional ceremony and bathing together with representatives of Muli Mekhanai of Lampung Province. Unila’s foreign students were represented by Wilayatshah (Afghanistan), Karim Azizi (Yemen), Tanygina Ulyana (Russia), and Sidorenko Anastasia (Russia).
The participation of Unila’s foreign students was well received by officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Lampung Province and other organizers. In addition, the involvement of UPT PKLI in this event also aims to introduce Lampung culture more to foreign students of Unila [Yoga Adi].
