Involvement of Foreign Students at The University of Lampung in Community Service Activities

International Relations students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Lampung (FISIP Unila), held a community service activity to educate children about English from an early age and provide training in traditional Lampung culinary arts in Pasir Gintung Village, Tanjung Karang Pusat District, Bandarlampung, on April 9–10, 2026.
This activity featured international students from the University of Lampung, Aaron Lungu, Olivioh Dalberto, and Hafizullah Mosavi, who actively participated in a series of activities with the local community, particularly women from the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) and children.
On the first day, Thursday, April 9, 2026, the activity featured an inspiring discussion on the importance of learning English from an early age. The international students acted as speakers and interacted directly with the children through interactive, group-based learning methods. During this session, the children were encouraged to learn simple English vocabulary using visual media and participated in an active and fun question-and-answer session.
Meanwhile, on the second day, Friday, April 10, 2026, the activity focused on training in traditional Lampung culinary arts, namely seruit and sherbet. International students also participated directly in the cooking process with the PKK women.
“Thank you so much for this opportunity,” said Aaron, a student from Zambia. Olivioh, a student from Madagascar, also expressed her positive impressions, saying, “Thank you for today. It was very enjoyable and the food was delicious.”
Through this activity, it is hoped that collaboration between local students, international students, and the community can continue to grow to create a broader impact, both in education and cultural preservation.
