International Students of UNILA participated at Lampung Krakatau Festival 2023

International Students of Universitas Lampung have attended & participated at Lampung Krakatau Festival 2023. This carnival was held on 8^th of July 2023 at PKOR, Wayhalim.

This was also the first time of international students of UNILA participated in this event after the Covid-19 era. This even was organised by Ministry of Tourisme & Creative Economy of Lampung Provinc to mark the culture and tradition of Lampung.

One of UNILA’s International office staff, Dara Helmasena, who was assigned to manage the international students of UNIILA to participate in this event said that : it is really challenging to me to organize this event with the international students participate in it because they know nothing yet about .” but it was okay because they really had fun during the festival and I know in the end, they know that Lampung culture has its own diversity.

Karim from Afghanistan also said that “it was really interesting event because I had a chance to wear Tapis and kopiah, I learned a lot from lampung culture”. Natacha from Madagaskar also said that “the next event all of the international students should join and participate in this festival because there are also many communities and groups in Lampung that also participated in this event.” A friend of Karim, Dihqan said that “it was really an interesting event, I even talked to some people from the other groups and communities and I get to know a lot of things from lampung culture.”
